The Future of Hemp

What federal hemp law changes mean for Rebel Gardens and the community we've grown together.

Last updated: October 26, 2026

A New Chapter for Hemp. A Continued Commitment to You.

At Rebel Gardens, hemp has always represented more than a product. It represents our agricultural roots, our belief in plant-based wellness, and our commitment to providing thoughtfully crafted products to our community.

Since becoming one of Georgia's first licensed hemp growers in 2020, we've watched this industry grow, evolve, and face its share of challenges.

Today, we're preparing for another significant change.

In November 2025, Congress passed legislation that will redefine which hemp-derived products qualify as legal hemp under federal law. These changes affect businesses across the country, including small, family-owned operations like Rebel Gardens.

We believe you deserve to understand what's happening, how it may affect your favorite products, and what we're doing next.

Understanding the New Federal Hemp Regulations

The new federal restrictions are scheduled to take effect in two stages:

November 12, 2026 — Initial Restrictions

Certain hemp-derived products containing cannabinoids that cannot naturally be produced by the cannabis plant will no longer qualify as federally legal hemp.

December 11, 2026 — Broader Federal Restrictions

Additional restrictions take effect, including a limit of 0.4 milligrams of combined total THC and certain THC-like cannabinoids per finished retail container.

This represents a significant change from the 2018 Farm Bill, which established a federal hemp definition based primarily on a concentration of no more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight.

Under the new rules, many THC-containing gummies, tinctures, and other hemp-derived cannabinoid products will no longer qualify as federally legal hemp. Some full-spectrum CBD products may also be affected.

These changes do not mean that all hemp or all CBD products are banned. Product eligibility depends on ingredients, cannabinoid content, manufacturing methods, and applicable federal and state requirements.

Federal legislation may continue to evolve, and we'll update this page as new information becomes available.

What This Means for Rebel Gardens

As these changes approach, we're making thoughtful decisions about our product collection to prepare for the new requirements.

Our current Delta-8 gummies are being discontinued.

Rebel Gardens plans to end sales of its current Delta-8 gummies after November 11, 2026.

Other THC-containing products may also be discontinued or reformulated as we review the new federal requirements and evaluate each product's ingredients and laboratory results.

We understand that many of you have developed favorites over the years. Changes to these products may be disappointing, especially when they've become part of your personal routines.

We don't take that lightly.

Our priority is to communicate openly, provide clear product updates, and make this transition as straightforward as possible for our customers.

You can continue exploring our current collection while products remain available for lawful purchase and shipment.

What's Next for Rebel Gardens?

Our products may evolve, but our purpose remains the same.

We're exploring the next generation of Rebel Gardens wellness offerings, with an emphasis on carefully formulated, broad-spectrum cannabinoid products and everyday self-care essentials.

Our development priorities include:

  • Broad-Spectrum CBD: Exploring formulations designed to meet updated cannabinoid and THC requirements.

  • CBN and CBG Formulations: Evaluating additional hemp-derived cannabinoid options as part of our evolving collection.

  • Bath, Body & Aromatherapy: Continuing to expand the candles, soaps, topicals, and other self-care products that are part of the Rebel Gardens experience.

Every new formulation will be evaluated against applicable federal and state requirements before being introduced.

While we may be changing what we offer, we remain committed to quality ingredients, transparency, and responsible product development.

Your Questions, Answered

Is hemp being banned completely?

No. The federal legislation changes the definition of hemp and significantly restricts certain hemp-derived cannabinoid products. Industrial hemp and some other qualifying products remain outside the new restrictions, subject to applicable laws.

Will I still be able to purchase my favorite gummies?

Some of our current gummies are being discontinued. Our Delta-8 gummies are scheduled to leave the Rebel Gardens collection after November 11, 2026.

We're evaluating our remaining cannabinoid products and will provide updates as availability changes.

Will Rebel Gardens still offer CBD products?

We're working toward a collection that may include new broad-spectrum CBD and other cannabinoid formulations. Availability will depend on final product specifications, testing, and applicable regulations.

Are your candles, soaps, and other self-care products affected?

Products that don't contain restricted cannabinoids may remain available. We're reviewing our collection individually to determine which items can continue without changes and which may require reformulation.

Will I still be able to order online?

Our online store remains open for eligible products. Availability and shipping will continue to depend on the laws and requirements applicable to each product and destination.

How will I know when something changes?

We'll share updates through our website and Rebel Mail newsletter, including discontinuation notices, product reformulations, and new collection announcements.
